Bạn có một bộ phim trên đĩa DVD “ hai lớp ” 8.5 GB, muốn sao lưu lên một đĩa DVD thông dụng (một lớp - 4.7 GB) thì làm như thế nào ? Giải pháp là : hãy nhờ đến DVD Shrink. Ngoài chức năng nén phim DVD, phần mềm miễn phí này có có thể sao lưu nguyên dạng hoặc thiết kế lại một đĩa phim DVD. Bài viết sẽ hướng dẫn bạn cách sử dụng DVD Shrink.
Hiện nay trên thị trường, đa số các đĩa phim DVD vẫn là đĩa DVD-5 (Single Layer 4.7 GB), nhưng đĩa DVD-9 (Dual Layer 8.5 GB) cũng đã có xuất hiện nhiều. Nếu bạn sao chép loại đĩa phim này vào ổ cứng thì chỉ được chừng chục phim là đã “hết đĩa”. Hoặc bạn muốn sao chép từ một đĩa DVD-9 sang đĩa DVD-5 mà vẫn giữ nguyên cấu trúc thì phải làm sao ? Giải pháp tốt nhất là dùng một phần mềm nào đó để nén đĩa DVD nhưng vẫn phải đảm bảo hình ảnh mượt mà và âm thanh trung thực. Một phần mềm miễn phí nhưng có khả năng rất mạnh trong công việc này chính là DVD Shrink (cần lưu ý phân biệt với một chương trình nén phim DVD khác là Easy DVD Shrink không tiện dụng bằng).
TÍNH NĂNG :
Có thể điểm qua một số tính năng chính của DVD Shrink như sau :
- Trước hết, đây cũng có thể coi là một phần mềm sao lưu đĩa phim DVD. Mặc dù chức năng nổi bật của nó là nén phim DVD vẫn giữ nguyên cấu trúc, nhưng nếu không sử dụng tính năng nén thì bạn sẽ có một bản sao phim DVD y hệt bản gốc. Bạn có thể sử dụng chương trình này kết hợp với một chương trình ghi đĩa DVD nào đó để sao chép phim DVD.
Đặc biệt, nếu bạn đã cài đặt chương trình ghi đĩa phổ biến là Nero, thì DVD Shrink có tùy chọn sử dụng Nero để ghi những đĩa DVD mà bạn đã sao lưu. Điều này rất tiện lợi vì không phải mất công mở Nero để ghi đĩa nữa. Để đảm bảo chức năng này có hiệu lực, bạn hãy vào Edit > Preferences, chọn thẻ File I/O rồi đánh dấu chọn Enable Burning With Nero.
- DVD Shrink còn có khả năng sao chép những đĩa DVD đã được mã hóa với mục đích ngăn ngừa việc sao chép. DVD Shrink giải quyết được vấn đề này với thuật toán giải mã được xây dựng sẵn trong chương trình.
- Và chức năng chính, mạnh nhất và nổi bật nhất của chương trình là nén đĩa phim DVD. DVD Shrink có khả năng nén hay rút gọn dữ liệu từ đĩa nguyên gốc. DVD Shrink phiên bản 3.2 chứa thuật toán nén tiên tiến, giúp quá trình nén đạt được hiệu quả hơn. Nó có thể nén từ đĩa DVD-9 sang trọn một đĩa DVD-5, vẫn giữ nguyên cấu trúc, chất lượng không khác bao nhiêu so với đĩa ban đầu. Ngoài ra chương trình còn có thể nén đĩa DVD-5 đến một tỉ lệ nào đó mà chương trình cho phép. Tỉ lệ nén này đối với mỗi đĩa là hoàn toàn khác nhau, được chương trình đưa ra khi phân tích đĩa DVD này.
- DVD Shrink còn cho phép bạn thiết kế lại một đĩa phim DVD. Bạn có thể làm một đĩa DVD từ một hay nhiều nguồn khác nhau, hoặc bạn có thể chỉ chọn một phần nào đó của phim DVD mà bạn đang có để ghi ra một đĩa DVD khác.
- Một ưu thế của DVD Shrink so với các chương trình khác có tính năng tương tự, đó là chương trình này hoàn toàn miễn phí.
SỬ DỤNG :
Sau khi chương trình đã mở ra, bạn hãy bấm vào nút Open Disc, sau đó lựa chọn ổ đĩa có chứa đĩa phim DVD. Ổ đĩa này có thể là ổ đĩa DVD hoặc ổ DVD ảo. Bạn cũng có thể lựa chọn đĩa DVD từ ổ cứng bằng cách bấm vào nút Open Files rồi chọn đường dẫn chứa đĩa DVD. Chương trình sẽ phân tích cấu trúc của đĩa phim này. Quá trình này diễn ra nhanh hay chậm tùy thuộc vào tốc độ của máy và dung lượng đĩa, thường chỉ mất vài phút.
Sau đó, chương trình sẽ hiện ra cấu trúc của đĩa DVD gồm có menu và phần phim chính. Trong mỗi mục lại có nhiều mục nhỏ hơn nữa. Bạn bấm chọn vào từng mục rồi lựa chọn những thứ cần thiết trong ô Compression Settings. Nếu bạn muốn giữ lại tất cả mọi thứ trong đĩa DVD thì công việc còn lại của bạn khá đơn giản. Bạn bấm vào thư mục cao nhất trong cấu trúc của đĩa DVD (có hình đĩa DVD), rồi lựa chọn kiểu nén. Chương trình cung cấp nhiều lựa chọn để nén như No Compression, Automatic, Custom Ratio... Tùy vào mục đích của bạn để lựa chọn những tùy chọn thích hợp :
- No Compression: Nếu bạn muốn sao chép đĩa y hệt đĩa gốc, không nén gì hết thì hãy lựa chọn mục này.
- Automatic: Chương trình tự động lựa chọn tỉ lệ nén đĩa DVD giùm cho bạn.
- Custom Ratio: Người sử dụng tự lựa chọn tỉ lệ nén. Bạn kéo thanh trượt về phía bên trái để tăng tỉ lệ nén. Cùng lúc đó thì thanh màu xanh biểu thị dung lượng đĩa DVD cũng giảm dần. Bạn có thể kéo thanh trượt về sát phía bên trái để có được tỉ lệ nén tốt nhất. Bạn cũng yên tâm vì tỉ lệ nén tốt nhất này vẫn cho hình ảnh không thua gì so với đĩa DVD ban đầu đâu.
Sau khi đã xác định xong tỉ lệ nén, bạn hãy bấm vào nút Backup để chuẩn bị quá trình sao lưu đĩa DVD. Một cửa sổ Backup DVD hiện ra để bạn thiết lập:
+ Thẻ Target Device: Bạn lựa chọn kiểu lưu đĩa DVD. Bạn có thể ghi thẳng đĩa này vào một đĩa DVD khác bằng Nero, hoặc lưu trong ổ cứng. Có nhiều lựa chọn để lưu trong ổ cứng như lưu đĩa DVD này thành tập tin .iso hoặc lưu vào ổ cứng theo cấu trúc của đĩa DVD.
Sau đó bạn lựa chọn thư mục tạm (nếu ghi thẳng vào đĩa DVD) hoặc thư mục để lưu vào ổ cứng trong ô tương ứng phía dưới.
+ Thẻ Quality Settings: Đây là thẻ khá quan trọng để có đĩa DVD chất lượng tốt. Bạn đánh dấu cả 2 mục phía dưới :
- Perform Deep Analysis Before Backup To Improve Quality (thực hiện phân tích sâu trước khi sao lưu để tăng cường chất lượng): Đĩa DVD sau khi nén sẽ có chất lượng gần tương đương với đĩa ban đầu.
- Compress Video With High Quality Adaptive Error Compensation (AEC): Khi video được nén, những lỗi nhỏ sẽ xuất hiện, đây là điều không thể tránh khỏi đối với tất cả các chương trình nén. DVD Shrink cũng không là ngoại lệ. AEC phụ thuộc vào CPU và tốc độ của máy tính, có thể mất khoảng 1 giờ hoặc nhiều hơn để hoàn thành, nhưng bù lại, nó sẽ cung cấp một chất lượng tốt nhất cho DVD của bạn.
Nếu bạn kích hoạt AEC, bạn có thể lựa chọn giữa Sharp (sắc nét) hoặc Smooth (mượt mà), mặc định của chương trình là Sharp.
+ Thẻ Options: Đánh dấu chọn Shutdown Computer When Backup Is Complete để chương trình tắt máy tính sau khi sao lưu xong.
Sau khi đã chọn xong các mục, bạn bấm OK để chương trình bắt đầu làm việc. Quá trình sao lưu khá lâu nên bạn cần tính toán thời gian trước khi bắt đầu. Thậm chí bạn có thể chọn lúc sắp đi ngủ để thực hiện, vì chương trình có thể tự động tắt máy tính giùm bạn mà.
Phiên bản 3.2.0.15 của DVD Shrink có dung lượng rất nhỏ gọn, chỉ 1.06 MB.
